What an Incredible Night at the Salon Awards 2024

Celebrating Together

Last week brought an incredible moment for Rebel Rebel Hair Studio. We won three awards at the Salon Awards 2024. Most Sustainable Salon, Best Salon in Hertfordshire, and I also received Stylist of the Year for Hertfordshire as a freelance hairdresser.

The night felt emotional from start to finish. Hearing our name called three times was overwhelming, and it recognised everything we have worked so hard to achieve since opening Rebel Rebel.

Why It Meant So Much

When I first opened the studio, my vision was clear. I wanted to create a safe, professional, and relaxed space where freelance and self-employed hairdressers could run their businesses with pride and confidence. I also wanted sustainability to shape the way we worked, from the design of the space to the products we use every day. Awards never crossed my mind, but one day I thought, Why not. Entering proved that what we have been building together is working.

A Collective Achievement

What made the evening even more special was celebrating with such a supportive group of freelance hairdressers in the studio. We jumped up and down, cheered together, and later stepped onto the stage side by side to collect the awards. Sharing that moment as a collective made me proud of everything Rebel Rebel has become.

Looking Ahead

Winning at the Salon Awards is an achievement I will always treasure. It makes me proud of the work we have done and excited for what lies ahead. I cannot wait for next year’s entries to open and to see what more we can achieve together.
